Candle and Wick Care
We want your candles to last a long time and smell their best! Here are a few tips and tricks for the optimal burning of your wooden wick candle:
- Always trim your wick. The wax fuels the flame, so a short wick is best - a wick trimmer or even an old pair of nail clippers work!
- When lighting a wooden wick candle, the best technique is to tilt the candle on an angle and light one corner of the wick, letting the flame draw across the length of the wick.
- Make sure your candle is at room temperature. Lighting a cold candle can cause tunneling.
- always give your candle enough burning time to develop a melted wax pool that reaches the edge of the tin. This can take up to 3 hours, but will leave you with a better burning candle!
